I am making a baby shower cake that is Australian/kangaroo themed...I a having trouble working out the details.

The baby is to be names after a city in Australia, Adelaide, and I have to work that in somehow...can anyone think of a better idea than a map?

It is a 6 in round with a fondant kangaroo figurine with baby toys, etc coming out of the pouch. Cupcakes with matching colored Australian flowers (not sure which ones yet).

Any good ideas to help this cake come together? Its an unlikely pairing, so I'm having trouble icon_redface.gif

Thanks for any suggestions!! icon_biggrin.gif

I think the Kangaroo represents Australia wonderfully.
Why not put baby blocks, with the babies name spelled out on it.
Or, why not put a fondant ribbon around the base of the cake and write the babies name on the tail of the ribbon?

Just a thought....
