I am still pretty new to cake decorating and was just wondering....does anyone use Wilton Fondant or does everyone make their own MMF?

I like the Wilton Fondant because I think it is much easier to use but it tastes aweful!!! I have tried the MMF once before and thought it was easy to make and tasted much better but was harder to work with.

Any opinions or suggestions would be great.

I use it, but I flavor it or make sure the frosting underneath is extra yummy. No one has ever complained. One of these days, I'm going to try to make my own.

I'm assuming you use an extract to flavor. How much do you use? What's your favorite?

I mAke MMF. It's inexpensive, that's why I like it! Have never used Wilton.

Yep. I use extract when I use it at all. Sometimes, just a little vanilla helps. Lemon is fun, too. Basically, whatever works best with the buttercream and cake.

What would you think about almond? I am making a WASC cake with a white chocolate ganache with strawberry as filling.
