I have been decorating over 40yrs. & I still have the problem of my icing between the layers of wedding cakes bulging. I often smooth down the icing decoration & repeat the buttercream. What can I do to prevent this? I need HELP...Thank you. mymeme

Do you use a really thick butter cream dam for your fillings. And do you let your cakes settle before decorating. I place a dinner plate on top of my cakes to help them settle. Some people use a floor tile.
