Hi guys,
I just finished a wedding cake where the bottom of each tier has a gold fondant ribbon. I used vodka and gold dust for the paint mixture but it looks strikey. How do you get a nice even gold fondant ribbon. Of course there is nothing I can do about it now but might need to know for the next time. I thought I was doing it right . . . guess not. icon_sad.gif Thanks for all your help.

Your mixture might be too thin, add more gold dust until you get the consistency of nail polish.

You can still repaint it, if you have time.
