Clarified butter is pure butterfat that forms when the water and milk solids are removed from ordinary butter.. It keeps for months if refrigerated.

Although it has a buttery taste than plain oil: it's not butter!

It is also called ghee - common in Indian cooking ... It is used for frying as it has a high smoke point and does not burn easily ..

I have only used in cooking not baking. Or to butter naan breads
