Just curious what is everyone's favorite frosting to write on a cake with. I usually use gumapste and tappitts, but have an upcoming cake that I will need to write on with frosting and need to strengthen up my writing skills icon_smile.gif

Any icing works fine, but it's easier if it's thinned down... almost soupy.

thin your regular frosting down with corn syrup, every time i use water my frosting seems to seperate a bit. get it really thin, so that when you are mixing it you can just barely get it to peak when you lift the stirer out. Practice on a pan for a while - it takes a lot of practice
