I searched the cookie forum and didnt find the answer. My apologies if its here somewhere.

I mostly make cakes but occasionally make cookies. Im making cookies with a pink background and a zebra print number 1 on the cookie. Because I dont trust my piping skills when it comes to putting the black stripes on the 1, I wanted to make the black stripes with a black food marker. Has anyone else done it this way?

Thanks!

I would try painting it with some vodka and food color.

I made some recently, I outlined the stripes with the black food marker... Then I piped over the outlines and it worked great...
