I am new to cakecentral.com
I would like to ship a 13x9 cake to my dad for his 70th birthday...what is the proper/best way to ship a cake that will have buttercream icing? leaving a hot/warm climate going to a cooler but yet still warm climate?

i don't think shipping a cake is a good idea at all. i can't imagine it turning out well. i mean i guess you could make it and then freeze it, and ship it overnight frozen with some dry ice? but even then id be worried about the frozen icing snapping off in places or something.
