Just trying to get a good idea of where to buy boxed mixes for cheap? And still BC or DH.

Thanks in advance.

I usually watch for Publix to have them "Buy one Get one Free". Their usual price is $1.83. Otherwise, in my area, Wal-Mart usually has the best price: $1.24 if I remember correctly. This is for Duncan Hines regular cake mixes not their new ones like Carrot Cake and Red Velvet. HTH

I watch my local grocery store ads and then when they come on sale I call the grocery manager and he orders me whatever I want in cases....I do this about every 3 months..They know me there so I never have a problem!I get them for usually about $1.25 a box...they are never cheaper here unless they are 10 for $10.00 but then there is a limit.

Wow, Publix in my area is $2.27 Duncan Hines! Walmart .98 but a 2 hour drive so I buy cases when i'm up that way. Walmart's vanilla is not bad either..way better than mccormick.

I have found the Ginger Evans brand from Save-A- Lot stores to be a great cake mix in any flavor. It has a very fine texture and I receive the most compliments when I use this brand. The price is .99 a box which can't be beat!

I always watch the grocery store ads that come in the mail and I stock up when they're on sale. Normally at Stater Bros or Vons. I normally don't buy them unless they're under $1.00. Just bought a bunch of them at Vons for $.89.

If there's a limit on the purchase, I'll go back the next day! thumbs_up.gif

My Walmart had DH for about 98 cents for a whie, then went to $1.16, now $1.24, and those 2 jumps have been within 4-6months. But I do watch Hy-vee and Kroger, ad stock up when they are 88cents. Never thought about calling to order! I always use the WASC recipe, or tweak some myself-like my grape cakes...with peanut butter filling....

I only use Betty Crocker or Pillsbury. I get them at Walmart usually. $0.96-$1.20/each. I also watch for deals like spend $25 get back $10 at my regular grocery stores. I've actually gotten BC cake mixes for free in deals like that when combined with manufacturer coupons.
