Can you make that if you don't have hi-ratio shortening? I'm a hobbiest/sometimes seller of cakes but I can't afford that stuff from the store that sells it in my area.

When you are at your grocery store, check the labels for trans fats. Try to buy the highest trans fats shortening! CK products sell it in 3lbs...

Hi-Ratio Shortening isn't just shortening with trans fats in it.

Exactly! Emulsifiers are the real benefit of hi ratio. If you can't get hi ratio, you're better off making Indydebi's recipe, because Dream Whip adds emulsifiers, making a nice, smooth icing thats easy to work with.
