I have been a silent member of CC for some time but would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you for the tips, tutorials and inspiration I got in pursuing my love for baking and cake decorating. I have actually just started with baking last quarter of 2010 and luckily I came across cakecentral which became like a cake bible for me. I learned all my firsts (baking, torting, MMF and gumpaste) here in CC.

A month ago, my sis-in-law encouraged me to take on a new challenge by taking my 1st cake and cupcake order. The celebrant wanted a Paris-themed birthday cake. I initially wanted to try doing the Eiffel tower by piping it in RI like the ones done here in CC but had a hard time drying it due to the weather so I did it in gumpaste instead. Just realized that it could have been easier and faster if I also made it in cookie form.
