my husband's niece is throwing a bachelorette party and had asked me to make a purse cake. I've never made a purse cake before but sure I'll give it a go. What I didn't know when I agreed to it was that she wants to take it from where we live on a 5 hour drive and not serve it for 4 days so she wants to freeze it. Thing is I've only been doing this as a hobby for a couple of years and I don't know if you can freeze a cake once it is covered with fondant. So can any of you more experienced cakers out there help me out? I would really appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance for your help.

Box it. Wrap box in saran & foil. Freeze. Defrost in fridge, still boxed & wrapped for 24hrs. Sit on counter, still boxed & wrapped for several hours. Remove from box. No condensation. No problem.
