I will be attempting a fondant drape on a three tier cake for a friend this weekend. Can anyone give me tips to help makes this first time easy? When you add a drape to a three tier do you usually add one on the other side too? Not sure if the cake will be in the corner or viewed from all sides. Any help greatly appreciated.

I have a couple in my pics. I roll out the fondant into a rectangle, use 3 dowel rods and lay the fondant on these length wise carefully tucking the fondant between them making the 3 humps. Let it sit a few minutes to set, slide the dowels out and pinch the ends together and you have your drape. I drape it across one tier then I use baboo skewers to attach onto the cake. Repeat with the next tier, then cover the attachments with flowers so you cant see where the ends meet. I only do it on one side of the cake. I dry brush with super pearl lustre dust to make it shine like silky fabric. Its very easy.
