Making two big wings to place on either side of a 10 inch round. My daughter is graduating from High School this weekend and I thought about making her a cake representing the school mascot (an eagle).
What I'm thinking of doing is making a 10 inch round along with some great big wings, but what would I make the wings out of and how to support them. this cake will be traveling to a friends house where the party will take place.
tia.

IF you can get some wafer paper (sometimes improperly called rice paper) that would be perfect icon_smile.gif
Maybe the new Wilton sugar sheets? Don't know how those would work as I've not actually seen them - just the pkg.
Wafer paper all you need do is stick them into the b'cream. Maybe the same w/sugar sheets?
If that doesn't work, then maybe make a 'frame' (outline the wings) by attaching floral wire and sticking that into the cake. Be sure to cover the wire w/floral tape OR better yet, dip it in melted chocolate.
