Hello all,

So up till now ppl all love my chocolate cake, however it is a suuuper moist cake and this past weekend at a party I realized how hard it is to cut without falling apart, especially on a cake with 2 fillings 3 cake layers etc.

Sssoooo I have my 1st wedding cake coming up, can someone suggest a chocolate cake that is dense enough to hold up for a 3 tier wedding cake?

Also she normally orders my chocolate cream filling (chocolate pudding with whipping cream and milk) however I'm worried about it sitting out for hours as it will be for a wedding cake. If someone could suggest a chocolate cream filling that would hold up for a wedding please?

Any suggestions would be soooo much appreciated!

Thanks!

I'm really a hobby baker so I don't have a lot of recipes and have none for a chocolate cream filling but I find Ina Garten's chocolate cake recipe holds up well for stacking and is also moist.
I hope I'm allowed to post the link here, got it off Food Network's site.

It worked well for me, hope it does for you.

the choc WASC is a good cake for stacking, very stable. Bavarian cream filling (sleeve filling) goes well with choc cake. I also like vanilla buttercream with a good choc cake. HTH
