I went looking for a Butter Pecan Cake recipie, and everything I found looks a lot like a vanilla cake with toasted pecans! Am I missing something, or is this what a Butter Pecan cake is?

Thanks all!

This might be what you are looking for. I used it with caramel filling and it was yummy!

Not quite, but thaks! I don't use mixes in anything. But I think the answer might be to use butter flavoring instead of vanilla. So I may have to try that! So I guess I got my answer after all!!

When I make a butter pecan cake, it is basically a vanilla cake with butter toasted pecans. I also used a carmel filling, but not any butter flavoring.

I make a butter pound cake (use both vanilla & butter flavoring) and add in chopped candied pecans. I have the recipe my mother has used for YEARS! If you'd like it, PM me.
