Another question for you guys. I am getting a KitchenAid mixer (the regular $300 countertop one) and I am wondering about the quality. How does it hold up if you use it to make Rice Krispies Treats? Can you do a double batch of RKT?? I don't know what size motor it has and how durable it is. Thanks for your help!!

I don't normally use a mixer for RKTs. I just mix with a spoon. Is there a reason you want to use a mixer for this? I think it might tend to crush/compact them a little. I find that changes them from palatable to just technically edible. Of course, that might be what you're going for.

To answer your question, I have a 6qtpro and I feel like the bowl might be a tad small for a double batch. Though I'm sure the motor could candle it just fine.
