My royal icing flowers turned out better than I've ever made them. In the past 3 weeks,I've only made them with buttercream.

My royal icing was perfectly creamy, no grittiness just very well done, and they look really good. Is there a way of getting buttercream to look as good as the royal icing looks?

Ribbon roses, swirl drop flowers and star flowers. I'll have my class number 4, level 1 Wilton Decorating basics on Tuesday. So I made my flowers ahead of time to go n my final cake.
