I add crushed Oreos to Pastry Pride which I think is pretty much the same as Bettercream and it turns out wonderful. I sometimes add a little bit of cheesecake pudding mix as well and it is so good.

I make a cookies and cream filling all the time, one of my most popular.
I use:
3 sticks unsalted butter
5 tablespoons Italian cream coffee creamer (coffeemate)
1/8 t salt
1 3/4 lbs powdered sugar
14 oreos, seperated, insides removed and set aside

cream butter until light and fluffy. Add the inside of the oreos and mix together. Add the coffee cream 1 T at a time until well incorporated, add salt, slowly add powdered sugar, then add the oreo cookie parts and mix until desired consistancy ( I like chunks in mine) and somtimes add a few more whole oreos.

Ok, Now, is it best to scrape the icing from the oreo's or just chop them with the icing still between them and add? Will leaving the icing in affect the bettercreme? Thanks.

I prefer to scrape the inside out of the oreo and cream it with the butter.
