Other than fondant, Does any one have any cool ideas on how to jazz up cake boards? I'm sick of how boring mine look, I'm also sick of the grease stains. TIA!!

Wrap them in one of several things: fancy aluminum foils, colorful cloth prints, jazzy paper - and then cover that with clear heavy-duty food-safe plastic (so that you don't hack through what's underneath when you cut the cake).

No, I was thinking of something heavier, like vinyl (but food-safe, of course). I'm not sure where where you can get it. Here in Mexico they sell it by the yard in Home Depot and our equivalent of Target.

i like to use royal icing sometimes, too. in fact i did for one wedding today. i put royal on very thinly, let it set up for two days, and then airbrushed a stenciled design on. it looked really nice.
