Wanted to know can I use the cake extender on a scratch cake? Or is just for box mix cakes?

i think it would depend on your recipe and what your using as an extender. but if it's a scratch cake is it really still an extender or just part of the recipe?

I agree with Chonte. If I'm making a scratch recipe and I need more, I just multiply out to get an extra quarter or half recipe.

Maybe she meant doctoring up a scratch recipe into different flavors. Like you have base recipe and add chocolate to make a chocolate cake or add raspberry to make a raspberry cake, etc. I think it could be done but I'm not sure how or a good recipe that would do that. icon_sad.gif
