I'm looking for a chocolate buttercream frosting that both my boyfriend will like and will work under fondant. This one looks like something he'd love, but do you think it will hold up under the fondant? Supposedly this is the Magnolia Bakery's recipe. Basically the recipe says to add cooled melted chocolate to the butter and cream, then add vanilla and sugar.

2 cups unsalted butter
3 tablespoons cream
12 ounces semisweet chocolate
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
3 cups sifted powdered sugar

Anyone have any advice or a similar recipe that will work?

I use a similar recipe and it holds well under fondant thumbs_up.gif I like to use real butter in my buttercream because it seems to harden nicely when put in the fridge to chill before laying fondant over it.
