question: If I wanted to mold a cowboy hat from rice krispie treats, how do I cover it to make it look smooth?

one way to start is either crush your rice krispies before adding to mixture and the mold your hat. i like to use melted chocolate to cover rkt sculpture, but have also used royal icing. i like working with the chocolate though, cause if there's a bump or a rough spot i just rub it out with my hands, as the heat from your hands will help smooth out th chocolate. then cover in fondant. hth!
