I am frustrated with the SPS system...have read the entire "sticky" that was posted along with other posts & I am at a loss at time of cake decorating. Not only do I have issues with either too short of a cake & making up for lost "air space" between plates or having too tall of a cake & it seems to bow out of the sides when plates are pushed down, but my hardest part is detaching the tier from the workable plate to get it onto the SPS plate. I use a bit of buttercream for attachment & it does lock into place but it seems to not be steady or my buttercream is ruined in the process. Luckily I have had to attach decorations that can something camouflage any flaws but for a "clean line" cake I think I am screwed...and one of those cakes is coming up for me for a 5 tier wedding cake at the end of may. Any thoughts or pointers on making this a less complicated process for me would be appreciated because many tears have been shed out of frustration. Thank you!
