Thawed Cake..sticky & Doughy?! Help Asap!

i have been thawing a cake to decorate for tomorrow and it is thawed but it is sticky to the touch and the middle seems doughy..but it was done when i baked and put them in the freezer...what can i do??

Sorry, but it sounds like it really was just a little underbaked. Can you trim that part?

is it a white cake? after freezing, those usually come out gummy on the top. just trim it as normal (the gummy gunk should come off) and you should be fine icon_biggrin.gif

Did you leave it wrapped to thaw? If not you are allowing the moisture to escape. It is probably coming to the surface and leaving it sticky and doughy.
