I am trying my hand at some banana fosters cupcakes tonight and cannot wait to get started (especially the flambe part, my pyro heart is so excited ) Anyway, I keep coming across a standard bc or a cream cheese frosting. I am burnt out on both. I was thinking maybe a cinnamon rum smbc, or a whipped white chocolate ganache topping. What do ya'll think as far as frosting goes for this recipe. Its for a happy hour tomorrow. I love baking for happy hour
I made a cinnamon buttercream with vanilla flavor the other day for some snickerdoodle cupcakes. It was delicious, and I can't stop eating it. I would throw that on there, or even add a little creme de cacao in with it. YUM.
They were a hit! The Rum SMBC turned out superb, I thought it might be a bit overkill, but turned out perfect with the cupcakes. I will give the brown sugar smbc a try next go around. Nom Nom Nom
