I just can't get past this color combination to get my brain to create something fantastic. It's actually dark brown, white, and just a touch of yellow - the decoration theme is western style and the bride wants paisleys on the cake. She has shown me a few cake styles that she likes and they are more elegant than western. Not sure how to combine the two. Any ideas?

I think it could look really great if you did a tiered chocolate brown with paislies (use an impression mat), then you could do a small rope border with white and put a yellow bow on top. OR use white for the base with a brown border and a yellow bow.
OR do white paislies on chocolate brown with a thin yellow rope border. Just use a pale yellow.
Here's another idea- replace the green with yellow in this cake and the swirls with paisley. You could do it in fondant too...

Or tweak something like this:

Have fun!

Ooh, yeah! I especially like the first picture. I'll see what I can do with it. Thanks for your help!
