Need help please!!! My Elmo sculpture is falling apart. Made the box recipe for RKT. Put in freezer to harden up. I used dowels in the arms and put a coat of royal icing. This morning the rkt seemed like they were melting. The arms fell off and they were soft. Should I use less butter? Need help quickly. Thank you.

Coat the Elmo in candly melts if you can.It will harden him up and make him stiff.Probably there was too much butter..This is why I use store bought RKT as they aren't too greasy etc...

Thank you kiddiekakes. Do I just melt the candy melts and brush it on? Do I need to use dark chocolate or is regular chocolate candy melts ok?

When I made mine I melted a bag of white candly melts in a bowl.I poured it over the piece I was trying to harden..Dark chocolate may have more cocoa butter content so it won't harden completely.
