Can anyone give me some ideas on what is the best reciepe to use for sculpting cakes? It looks like most of the cake shows use some kind of sponge cake, make it about 1" think, stack and then sculpute. I try a marble reciepe and it is not bad, but tends to crumble and break if not careful.

The WASC cake I hear is good for stacking and carving.
