Which is best under fondant. Should I use crusting or non crusting buttercream under fondant?

I usually allow my bc to crust before applying fondant. when it is crusted it will be more resilient. After it crusts apply a coat of piping gel, or lightly spray with water so it is tacky and the fondant will stick to it. Hope that helps... icon_smile.gif

I use non crusting for the very same reason. If it crust, the fondant won't stick. I've done pretty well with non crusting.
