hi everyone, i am new to making cakes and i would really love to know how to make a fondant/gumpaste number topper ?

That looks like it was fondant rolled out into a long sausage shape, then shaped like the numbers and let dry for a few days.

As posted above, it looks like gumpaste which is just rolled out and hand shaped to the design that they want and then left to dry. I would say it has some sort of wire (food safe) though it to help stick it into the cake and stay upright. Then you can paint in whatever color you need or dust edible glitter over it..Good luck..
