Hi, I have been thinking about setting up an in home bakery and selling my cakes to make a little bit of extra money on the side for my baking. however im not really sure if it is legal to do that without having any proper degrees. like culinary and so fourth. So my question for u is...Do u have to have a degree or other paperwork filed to do so. If you have any information on this please let me know.

You don't need to have any degree to start a cake business. It does help to have some business classes under your belt though.

The first thing you need to do is find out if it is legal to sell from home. Some states allow it and other don't.

Here is a thread to get you started.

After that just follow up with the proper authority (health dept or dept of agriculture) to see if you need to do anything else.
