How can I glue fondant cut outs onto a fondant covered cake?
Is royal icing ok or water?

And what is the best way to adhere roping to sides of a pillow cake? icon_smile.gif

I have used water, royal icing and vodka. In my opinion the vodka does the best. The water tends to drip and leave a mark. If the vodka drips it evaporates and leaves less of a mark. As far as lines on a pillow I have cut straight strips out if fondant but I now use and love my clay extruder. You can get it at any hobby store in the clay area. Just add a bit of vegetable stortining to your fondant for it to got thru well! HTH!!

Thank you, so much everyone.

I will go with the Vodka.

Does anyone know how much fondant will cover the small Wilton pillow cake,

I think I will try the small full size pillow.

Will 2lbs work or 5lbs of fondant. icon_smile.gif
