I have a bride who would like a flying trapeze on top of her groom's cake. She does not want it to look like a circus theme or a cake for a child. Does anyone have any ideas on how to achieve something like this realistically for a wedding? I appreciate any ideas to brainstorm.
thanks so Much!!
How about silhouettes?Something like this (but only 2 silhouettes):

That is a great idea. Any ideas on how to suspend them over the cake? Maybe use a thin gauge wire? I need to figure out how to make nice tall posts as well to hold the trapeze bars.
I was thinking you could even do the wires and the silhouettes right on the cake in fondant (like the photo in the link). It would be flat and much easier to do...
But if you wanted to do the 3D look, use dental floss for the wire and lollipop sticks painted silver for the poles. The silhouettes could hang from the floss. Make a cut in the lollipop sticks and the dental floss fits in nicely and will hold with a bit gum glue. I did it for the string of flags on my cruise ship and it held nicely.
