Help With Off Set Stack

icon_confused.gif I plan on making a cake with and offset stack and I would like to know something. when this is done is the bottom of the tier (underneath) covered in fondant? If so how is that done. Im asking because I think seeing the cake board would be unattractive. By the way the cake will be 5 tiers

I agree... seeing the bottom of the cake board is unattractive. With offset stacked cakes, I don't believe most people have to worry about covering the underside of tiers with fondant because they plan for a proper fit. Are you planning to have the tiers overhang the tier below?
