Ok so I am wanting to do a Black Forest cake for a friend of mine. She is wanting it decorated with hydrangeas and icing etc.... Question is--most Black Forest Cakes I see are torted and have the filling showing, with more cherries and stuff on top. can I still do the whipped filling with cherries and still icing the cake and decorate it as normal????

I like to do mine with chocolate ganache on the sides, cherries in the middle and whipped cream and cherries on the top.
