I used Royal to glue together my stairs for Sesame street. I also sort of crumb coated in royal since it was already a mess. Can I just spritz it with water and place fondant on top?

You can give it a try but i doubt that it will work. Royal is a real fine icing that is thicker than regular icing.. good luck

don't spritz with water, just smear a bit of royal on the back of the cutouts
