OK, I have been doing cakes for about a year and a half, professionally, and I am wondering if I am working slower than I should be. icon_cry.gif
I thought about charging by the hour but thought the cost of the cake would be to much.
Can anyone give me a sample of their work and tell me the hours it took to make that cake.
Price is an other issue, what to charge? icon_confused.gif
Can anyone help? icon_redface.gif

Most of my 9'' cakes with custom designs take about 5 hours. maybe 6-7 if its intricate, and 3-4 if not. I consider myself a hobbyist, and by no means proffessional. Hope that helps!

There is an active thread on here where people post their cake pic with their price and the number of hours it took to complete the cake. I would post a link, but I am on my iPhone and can't figure out how to do it. HTH
