I've used it in both chocolate and vanilla cake...and on cupcakes! It's my daughter's favorite!! Every year she requests that her cake be Vanilla WASC with nutella and fresh strawberries and bananas in the filling. It's by far one of the best combinations ever!! YUMMY!! I have never tried the mousse but that sounds really yummy too! Will have to try soon.
Hi!
I'm Italian, so it's kinda predictable that my first post on this forum is about Nutella
You could try this filling:
400 g Nutella
200 g cream (plain cooking cream is perfect, otherwise you can use whipping cream, but in that case you need to whip it, otherwise it's too runny)
120 g roughly chopped hazelnuts
80 g chopped wafers
Just mix all the ingredients together for some seconds and it's done! It's delicious and perfect for filling cakes since it's not as gooey as Nutella by itself
HTH!
Well trust me If i was close, I would bring it to you, My daughters Birthday is on june 7, And when she was pregnant all she had to do was say crave and i was there for her. Lots of luck!
Do I have to be pregnant in order to have you bring me some goodies when I say I have a craving?????? I'll keep you busy. lol
me too.....nutella in one bowl..peanut butter in the other...dip one then the other.Mmmmmm
Skip the two bowls! Take a whole jar of PB to 1/4-1/2 jar of Nutella and mix them together then store in a container. That's what I use for "PB" for sanwiches, toast and just dipping. Potato chips, & Nutella-PB. YUM!!!

Lucky, ( yea I would say that) Thank god my kids all live by me, Thats why I watch all 4 of my grandchildren, While my kids could go to work. And I`m happy that they are with me during the day. I`m Italian to and was brought up with that thing that when a preganat woman craves something, She gets it.

By cooking cream I mean cream that is often used for salty dishes, a sort of sour cream, but it shouldn't be sour, the kind of cream you can't whip, not sure I made myself clear
The weight in grams/ounces is unimportant, you just have to be careful to proportions, so e.g. for 10 parts Nutella you shall use 5 parts cream, 3 parts hazelnuts and 2 parts wafers, so that cream + hazelnuts + wafers = the weight of Nutella. Does this help?
Or in cups: 1 cup Nutella, 1/2 cup cream, 1/2 cup hazelnuts + wafers.
Francesca, Thank you very much, I`m going to have to check that out, (BTY Love you`r first name, It`s also mine)

What a nice coincidence!
BTW, I read you're Italian, so you might know "Ferrero Rocher" pralines. Well, the recipe I suggested above tastes exactly like Ferrero Rocher, in fact here in Italy we call it "crema Rocher"

Yes I have heard of it, I was born in Calabria, I have been in the States since I was 5 yrs old I have been back their many times, To see family, The last time was about 10 years ago,( It`s time) My husband could`t belive it when he went, He LOVED It, The family treated him like a king, (Who would`t like it) Where are you from?
I live in the mountains, around 80 km from Milan, nobody has ever heard of cake decoration here, apart from the Cake Boss show
Calabria is one of the most beautiful Italian regions, you're lucky, people are very friendly and value family above all... and they have great food!!!
Well there you go Francesca, You could start a class, And a little business, And who knowes, It might lead into a nice big business, I only bake for my family, I have 38 niece`s and nephue`s and 32 ( I guess you would call them great niece`s and nephue`s) And I only got into cake`s about a year and a half. And sometimes it can be a lot of fun, And sometimes it could be a pain, Anyway, thanks again for the nutella tip.
