I just bought the Wilton football pan and I am having problems with the cake when i try to take it out of the pan it leaves about a fourth of the cake stuck to the bottom. I am using the WASC red velvet and baking at 325 with Pam sprayed on the bottom. Is there something I can do to prevent this from happening? Thank you for your help.

I have this pan and have used it several times. I use crisco and the cake always comes right out. Maybe the red velvet is too delicate.

Thank you.... Did you use just the Crisco or did you add flour? What cake did you use I will do anything right now to get it to work!

I just used mine a couple weeks ago. I coated mine with the home made cake release and the cake came right out with no problems.
cake release - equal parts of oil, flour, and shortning blended together well and then stored in a container.
