SparkleKat, I'd be frustrated too! Your cake was gorgeous. I saw the other postings and references to your amazing cake when that happened and went looking for it. It's so much better than the other versions! I saved yours...but not theirs! (not to knock theirs, but just to show you how much I loved yours!) It was worth searching for! awesome work!

This is one I just did - I look at Rosie's arm now (not with the 3:00 a.m. eyes I painted her with lol) and realize it's a bit anemic. lol! You all do such beautiful work, so inspiring!

OK....this isn't an original idea (Martha Stewart) but I worked so hard on those stupid buttercream baby birds, I think it at least deserves another review. I tried to do a piped bird but they looked so deformed I ended up handrolling frozen buttercream to get the shapes I wanted.

Unfortunately no. It's a store bought cake topper. This was only my 5th cake that I've ever made so I need a lot more practice before I'll try something that complicated!

I took a peek at your other photos and didn't doubt that you could make it! You matched the colors perfectly and the final product handmade or not is awesome!

I posted this with the title OUR undernoticed cakes becuae CC home page was not available for over 1 day. I uploaded my cake, but could not see it on the homepage cause it was down.
I was not the only one having these issues. So, since this forum was not down, I figured everyone else who was having issues could post there cakes here...
