Recommendation For 4 Tier Board

I'm putting together a large 4 tier cake. It'll be a 14,12,9,6 covered in fondant. Should I do the base in MDF or with some sheets of foam core? I'm thinking MDF but I don't want to over-do it.

p.s. Yes I will have help carrying this sucker!

MDF is fine. I use cake drums for everything.

I wouldn't rely on just foam core! MDF would be fine or you could use Masonite.
