Hi there. I'm trying to make a book cake for my son's book club. I have the Wilton 1-mix book pan, and I've tried several times, and every time it sticks terribly and falls apart when I try to take the cake out. I'm using a French vanilla mix, and I'm greasing the pan with shortening.
Can anyone give me any advice on how to make this work?
Thanks for any help you can give me!

I use only butter spray (cheap, store brand) on all my pans with the exception of that one. For this one I had to break down and buy the Wilton Cake Release.
