Hi all, I am making a friend a white choc mudcake but she would like it to be about 20cm wide and 25cm high. Do I bake seperate cakes cut them to size and buttercream them and stack them. Will it be too much weight?
I am by no meens a professional at cakes and am worried Im going to ruin her bday cake. Any ideas would be appreciated THANKYOU! icon_redface.gif

I would stack that like it was a two tier...

Tallest I'd go is 15 cm without having some support. So just treat it like two separate 20 cm rounds that are 10 cm tall (well yours would be 12.5 cm tall) and stack them and ice the sides smooth. I'd make the board in between a little smaller than 20 cm so there's no chance of it poking out on you.
