I have a 6 quart stainless steel bowl I want to use to make a domed cake. What are the cooking instructions for that? What temperature and about how long? How many "layers" can you bake in that one bowl?

I've only done a dome for a fire helmet a few years ago but baked the cake in an 8x2 inch round then as soon as I took it out of the oven, I carefully flipped the cake into a rounded bottom bowl that was 8" wide across the top, wrapped it up saran wrap then put it in the freezer for about an hour to cool and set. I then layered the domed cake over another 8" round, flat cake for added height. I worked perfectly for what I needed.

Curious to see how everyone else does it.
