Hi,

So a friend of a friend asked me to make her wedding cake. I'm super excited but I think I might be in over my head. She sent me a picture of what she wants, which I'll post here and I attempted to recreate on my trial cake this weekend. The results were no where near what I wanted.

So I'm hoping you geniuses here will be able to help! First picture is the original, second picture is my sad attempt

She want the draping in turquoise. Any suggestions?

I've got the cakes on cake central now, If there's a way to get them directly on the forum, I unfortunately can't figure out how, I've read the attachment feature isn't working right now

We are all our own worst critics! I can't see the original but your try looks great! All I would suggest is maybe letting the fondant dry a little on dowels to get the even creased/drapey look (like in a couple of my pictures) and then use water to make the fondant at the top of the draping a little higher, closer to the middle/top and just try and hold it there for a minute so it doesn't slide down. If that's the look you're going for. But once again your first try looked good icon_smile.gif
