Does someone know how to make a basketball jersey look real with mesh imprinted on the fondant? Do you use a real jersey to press into it? Help!! Thanks!

The silpat mats have a good texture. I have also used cheesecloth or a clean dish towel.
Just remember to dust it lightly with PS so it doesn't stick

Some things you can use to make impression -

plastic embroidery canvas
metal strainer
mesh scrubby sponge (clean, never been used)

You can also find small, plastic impression mats in the clay aisle of most craft stores.

Just remember that if you use a flat sheet as your impression mat, don't press all the way to the edges of the mat, otherwise you'll make lines in your fondant.

I've bought several textured placemats from my local dollar store.
