I noticed that Sam's club sells their buttercream in pails. Does anyone use this and how do you like it? It would sure be cheaper than making your own, but you do have to buy large quantities. They said you can freeze it in smaller containers and it does not affect the quality.
Thanks for any info.

I use it for demos and dummies. It tastes fine... just like any shortening-based BC, but it can be airy from the bucket and may need to be rewhipped or stirred. You don't need to buy large quantities, and you don't need to freeze it (it's labelled with a room temperature shelf life of 6 or 8 months).

Thanks for the info. All they had here in white was a 5 gallon pail and I am afraid to buy that much if it's not the best.
