Red Velvet Cake Recipe Question..

I want to make the red velvet cake the WASC recipe way,,but what can I add to give the cake more of that authentic taste? Add cocoa or what? Someone help me please? I need to make this TODAY! Thanks!

Use buttermilk instead of water, add a teaspoon of vinegar, and a tbsp of cocoa powder. I also will add a bit more food coloring. Then add your other ingredients.
