Is it on an icing sheet? The ones I use say to take them into a humid environment for a short while (like a steamy bathroom).
It probably is an icing sheet. I had it made for me at a grocery store a long time ago and it is very brittle. Do you think if I get some humidity by it and it softens up it would remain soft for a few days. I'm just trying to be able to use it. If I wait until the last minute to try the humidity and it doesn't work that could be a problem. If I do if now and it does work I wonder if it will last for a couple of days so I can still use it.
Put it in an airtight bag with a damp paper towel for a few days. Be sure the paper towel is to the backing side of the image. You might want to put a piece of plastic wrap between the image and the paper towel, just to be safe. It will put moisture back into the image, but I don't know how far gone yours is. It is worth a try, otherwise, your image is useless..
I haved used my steamer to moisten mine up. Careful you don't get any drops on the edilbe image. I also put the image in a closeable bag and put some steam in the bag and then seal it. Careful not too much steam in the bag, don't want it to rain in their.
